Lodging and Camps
 Our
most popular hunt! These hunts take place out of the Rocky Knob Lodge which
is located between Darby, Montana and Sula, on Hwy 93. This is a full
service lodge operated year round with full service bar and restaurant with
some of the best food in Montana. Each room has two full size beds with hot
showers. This hunt is popular because of the versatility and overall
success. You leave early each morning after a hearty breakfast, with your
professional guide in a 4X4 vehicle to head for the hunting area. After a
great day of pursuing Elk and Deer in the Bitterroot National Forest, you
will return to the lodge where you can relax while the staff at the lodge
prepares your meal (which you order off a menu of several choices) and
serves refreshments from the bar. This hunt is enjoyed by hunters of all
ages and gender. Good physical condition is always a plus and will increase
your opportunities on all hunts.
BACK COUNTRY
CAMP
 Located
in the Bitterroot/Selway area, camps three to ten miles from the nearest
road can be reached by horseback or foot only. Base camp is operated out of
canvas wall tents located on a stream or lake. Clients’ tents are equipped
with cots for sleeping, a wood stove for heat and lantern. A cook tent is
also erected and supplied with wood and cook stoves, table, lanterns, etc.
This tent also serves as a meeting place for the camp. Most hunting is done
on foot from base camp. Horses are used to reach distant areas and to pack
out game. Our guides are licensed and knowledgeable outdoors men. They are
experienced with the game and their habits and know our area well. Your
guide will not hunt in competition with you and he will not kill game for
you.
DROP CAMP
 Must
apply for license through the draw. For those hunters who would like a back
country unguided hunt, we offer a “Drop Camp Hunt.” You and your gear will
be packed in on horseback by one of our guides to a prearranged campsite.
Upon arriving, your guide will show you how to use the camp equipment and
where the best areas to hunt are on a topographical map. No horses will be
left at camp. Your guide will return at prearranged time to pack you, your
gear and any game back to the trailhead. FOR DROP CAMP HUNTS, WE SUPPLY •
Canvas Wall Tent • Water Buckets • Lanterns • Shovel • Ax and Saw • Wood and
Cooking Stoves • Pots and Pans • Utensils • Cots.
